About Us
Arteban House and Gardens (AH&G) is a Spirit oriented facility established in 1998 as the result of a call to serve others seeking to deepen their spiritual lives. Named for the main character in The Story of the Other Wiseman by Henry Vandyke, AH&G seeks to provide an atmosphere that allows visitors to hear in silence the voice of the Holy Spirit. It is a nondenominational, interfaith organization open to the public by reservation and without cost. This Spirit-lead project is supported solely by goodwill donations of our guests and the efforts of volunteers.

The Ministry
As you enter the grounds we pray that you will see, hear and feel the presence of the Spirit through the setting God has provided here at AH&G along with the gardens and structures that have been added. Like our spiritual lives themselves, the gardens reflect a "work in progress." A quarter mile walking path, planting beds, a pond, stream, and waterfall, the pergola, private meditation areas, a natural amphitheater by the lake and later a small chapel, a labyrinth, a welcome center and a network of small roads and individually diffused parking spots are all being developed. The additions are designed to contribute to a peaceful and meditative atmosphere as well as aid your spiritual journey. Your suggestions and comments on these or other ideas are welcome.
